![]() ![]() Bajor was a Hungarian software developer who, at that time, developed terrain modeling software on micro-computers and was working as the head of the mathematical department at the Geophysical Institute, Budapest. The evolution of ArchiCAD started in Hungary, 1982 when Gabor Bajor launched Graphisoft. ArchiCAD is widely used in the AEC (Architecture, Engineering, and Construction) and design industries. They also enable users to view their models from any device at any time. The program comes with Graphisoft’s BIMcloud and BIMx which allow architects to work simultaneously on a design. The software’s capabilities and add-ons enable users to create building models using structural elements such as doors, windows, slabs, and many others. All projects can be edited with the equalent or higher build numbered ARCHICAD client.Į.g.: An ARCHITeamwork project can be edited with ARCHIor above, but as soon as a team member raise the build number (open it with a higher build numbered ARCHICAD, like 5021), the rest of the users need to open it with the new build ( in this example case, with 5021).ArchiCAD is an architectural BIM software application developed for architects for two and three-dimensional design. However, to make it clear: multiversion server does not support to work with different build numbers in one project. In your case, that means if you have a BIMcloud Basic 2018.2 locked to version 21, it will support only ARCHICAD 21, but any of the builds. This feature is available only for paying customers, BIM Server 21 and BIMcloud Basic are not providing this option. Now let's switch to BIMcloud: BIMcloud Servers from version 21 are multiversion servers, which means they can host projects from different major versions of ARCHICAD. Build numbers are coming from the release and later from the update, e.g. ARCHICAD 20, ARCHICAD 21, ARCHICAD 22, etc. Major version numbers are usually mentioned in the product's name, e.g. ![]() ![]() In case of GRAPHISOFT products, we can talk about major version numbers and build numbers. ![]()
